Research Engineer for Natural Language Processing (f/m/div.)
Aufgaben
We are looking for a Research Engineer to support our research team working on state-of-the-art NLP research on machine learning and deep learning models in an Enterprise AI setting. You will support us in data engineering and software development activities for transferring our research results into real-world prototypes. Concretely, your tasks will include:
- Design, develop, prototype, and evaluate novel NLP models, as well as applications and services from novel NLP models, from backend to front end.
- Preprocess and clean large datasets for training and testing NLP models.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business requirements for NLP solutions and communicating and presenting research findings and results to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to the academic visibility of the team, by contributing to scientific publications, and co-supervising PhD students or interns.
Profil - Education: excellent degree (Master) in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics or related field, PhD is a plus
- Experience and Knowledge:
- Several years of experience in writing well-structured, maintainable, and reliable code
- Profound skills in several programming languages, including Python and Java
- Exposition to research-oriented environments on topics related to Natural Language Processing
- Experience with implementing major tasks in NLP, such as data preprocessing, model finetuning, evaluation, etc.
- Personality: a positive and motivated team player with a passion for creating high-quality code, keen to learn new technologies and share knowledge, strong communication skills, goal-oriented, pro-active and able to work independently
- Enthusiasm: for fully automated, tested, continuously deployed, and delivered services, interested in bringing latest research solutions into projects and services
- Languages: fluent in English (written and spoken)
